The composite gate meets the needs of those who appreciate wood but prefer to avoid its drawbacks. Composite materials require no treatment against moisture and are resistant to rot. Unlike a wooden gate, this model requires neither sanding nor periodic treatment. To remove dust, pollen, or dirt, clean the composite slats with warm water and a mild detergent. Then rinse the infill and the aluminum frame. Occasional checks of the guide and closing mechanisms are a useful addition to this routine maintenance. After heavy rain or pollen season, a quick rinse prevents deposits from building up.
